Can't say enough about the folks at Drain My Lawn.. I had them replace two driveaway culverts, install a new one in a second driveway and do some drainage related grading on my property and was very pleased!.. When my son bought his first home recently... We had Drain My Lawn come out and look at a situation caused by the previous owner.. They installed new drainage lines and a catch basin and graded and seeded the area afterwards... Now it looks like they were never there. Had a downpour a day or two after they finished the work and the new drainage system worked flawlessly!!! I really like Nick's business model and how he pours into the staff and give them opportunities to be part of the business. Everyone is very responsive and respectful. When Nick came out to both properties, he not only listened to our concerns, but spent time taking measurements and video of the area. Great service! Nick came out and inspected my issue with poor drainage in my front yard near my front steps. He proposed his plan for a drain to me and gave me a very reasonable quote for the work. I agreed to the work and we called the city to have the yard marked to do the work. The city was slow to respond and Nick stepped in and escalated with the city and got that taken care of. Drain My Lawn did just that for us! They are a remarkable business overall and a model for how people ought to be doing work. The process started with a detailed assessment of our drainage issues and a clear video detailing what work would be done. The system they proposed and then put in place was terrific---well thought out in order to keep water away from the house (and all kinds of extra things I would not have thought about). We were having a standing water in area next and around the side of our house. During certain downpours it could be up to 4 or 5 inches of standing water. We were worried about our foundation and possible water flooding in. We found Drain My Lawn by researching companies in the area. We were impressed by their reviews and reached out. We are so happy we did! Professional from start to finish. Super knowledgeable about what to do and an open book. Answered all my questions and listened to my concerns. We appreciated the project diagram to get a good idea about our project. Everyone that showed up to start the project are really great. They worked so hard and efficient throughout the day and made sure they kept me in the loop to what was going on. Once finished, educated us on how to manage and take care of everything. We have been through 11 inches of melting snow and a day of heavy rain. We look out the window and it is a relief to not see standing water there. Drain My Lawn did a fantastic job in evaluating my problems, and determining the correct solution. Kenneth did my assessment and provided a very detailed video and drawing to explain the installation of my french drain. It has rained a LOT since installation, and there have been no more issues with water pooling in my front yard. I will echo the good reviews that have been posted so far for these guys. I really like the communication and prompt response I received. I submitted a request for appointment/call on Saturday and have already met with them by Monday evening. Nick came to my home and looked at the issue I'm having with mild erosion in my side yard. It's not a major issue but is large enough that I wanted to get a professional opinion on how to fix it. He could have easily sold me on a costly overkill solution but that didn't happen. Instead, Nick explained what was really causing the erosion and identified a few options that would help. We bought a new house and after the very first rain it was clear we had a serious drainage problem which caused several thousand gallons of water to collect in the backyard (and took DAYS to drain), and the water got dangerously close to the crawl space. Nick came out and confirmed the problem, did a thorough assessment, and completed the job while we were on vacation. We never had any concerns that they would cut corners or rush the job. The results back that up. Heck, as they were working, their expertise identified an issue with the neighbors lawn! Most people might have ignored it, but they kept us in the loop and educated us about many things. I don't expect to need their services again, as they took care of a ton of things for us and I am sure it is long lasting, but if we do, they will be our first call. Nick came out to diagnose my drainage issues, provided great documentation and came back again when we had more questions and potential problem areas before pulling the trigger. When we suggested to rip and replace an additional drain, Nick said while he could, it wouldn’t be cost effective and wouldn’t lead to a better outcome. That kind of honesty is refreshing, appreciated and unfortunately, somewhat rare. Trust trumps everything and Nick is trustworthy in how he runs his business. After placing a small deposit to get scheduled, the team actually started the work a week before they said they could. Nicks team was respectful of my property and expeditious in their work. Any issues were quickly addressed and I was never left waiting for a response. Highly communicative before, during and after the job. Drain My Yard recently completed extensive work installing drainage system(s) around our home and am pleased to give them my highest recommendation. From our first interaction, I found the team to be professional, knowledgeable very practical with their approach to finding the best way to resolve our problems. They created detailed plans including videos to explain and illustrate their recommendations and were able to execute on the project within the timeline and budget we agreed on. I found the members of the team to be communicative, hard working, polite, thoughtful in how they left things around our home, and the work they did was done extremely well. I was slated to install my driveway with-in two weeks time. However, there was an unforseen problem....Installing the driveway will block the the path of water drainage. There will be a very large holding cell of water that will sit against my house foundation and surround my deck posts and entry unto the deck. I reached out to Drain My lawn and Kenneth came out with-in one day of our phone conversation. He diffintely understood the ugergency. He made his assessment and sent me a veido explanation of what had to be done to correct my situation. As he stated, next day he forwarded me detailed cost estimate which included aerial veiw with all drainage features in place and named. I was impressed by the professionalism, patience to explain, attention to my concerns not to mention knowledgeable. The material they use are DOT specfied with copper tracing. I contacted Nick when I was having issues with water flooding into my home. I was very impressed with his knowledge and the detailed job he did assessing the issue. His recommended solution ended up being something that required repair by the DOT, but he did not try and push any other solutions on me. It was because of Nick that I was able to finally figure out what needed to be done after many others had offered no help. Now that the work has been completed by the DOT, I will be contacting Nick again to help with a separate drainage issue at my home and I recommend him to anyone with drainage issues.
